Located seven miles north west of the city centre, Aberdeen Airport has connections to the UK and Scandinavia. It is also a launch pad for helicopters connecting the North Sea oil fields with the mainland, making it the world's largest commercial heliport.

The access road to the airport is signposted from the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road.
